4th generation butcher Jeffrey Ruhalter is offering demonstrations on basic butchering and a complete breakdown of Pork, Beef, Lamb and Fowl in a series of classes with examples, cuts, cooking times, temperatures and recommended seasonings in two-hour classes.

 

With each class attendees will go home with portions of the butchered meat.  Classes will be held at 120 Essex Street inside the Essex Street Market at Jeffrey’s Meat Market.  Attendees will be mixing in with the market vendors and local shoppers at the oldest family run butcher shop in New York City.

 

During the class you will be introduced to the history of Jeffrey’s Meat Market with stories based on 71 years of service to the Lower East Side.
